Sit happens16/6/2019 Sit is the first thing and the easiest skill for any dog or puppy to learn. When you teach your pup to sit, anytime, anyplace, anywhere. . .he will develop better coping skills such as visiting the veterinarian for the first time with so many new smells and sounds.
Here you see our client Finn sitting in the lobby of his veterinarian. Finn is a rescue, and displayed anxiety that required medication due to his beyond rational desire to climb the walls and run. We certainly did not want to put him at risk for flight. He would likely run frantically into traffic and get struck by a car or truck. Sitting helped him to cope with new situations, and even though he pants excessively and shows the whites of his eyes, he is making fabulous progress with the behavior modification program. Ms Barb works with your veterinarian in extreme cases. Extreme cases like this are rare, but know that Barbara has built a reputation for working with a wide variety of dogs no matter what the issue may be *Update: Finn is now three years old and walks very nice on leash, he will walk on shiny floors without freaking out, and when his Mommy has out of town work commitments, Finn comfortably relaxes at Barbara's home. Boarding is available if you prefer to have your dog staying in a home setting rather than a kennel. We enjoy seeing Finn enjoy life with newfound confidence. for immediate response: text to 330-988-0122 include the topic Dog Appt Request / photo of your pet dog
